Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero has been model and actress in the United States over a long period of time. Her most well-known role was co-starring in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and for having been the singer in the girl group Apollonia 6. She was one of several female performers who gained from Prince's collaboration in the 1980s. The actress was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959, her professional career began as a model and actress by the end of the '70s and included an appearance in the television series CHiPS. In 1984, she was cast as the title of female lead of Prince's Purple Rain (during which time she altered her name) as well as replacing Vanity in the female duo Vanity 6 singing with them in the film with the title Apollonia 6.
