Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Martinca is an actress from Romania. She was awarded an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. Fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father, a theatre professor in one of the top Romanian theatre schools, is a theatre teacher. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 at the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors. In 2008 she was named a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. In 2007, she starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 days (4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) directed by Cristian Mungiu, which received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was another film that she was in. She was also in 2008 as Yasim Anwar on the BBC five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as well as the Romanian drama Boogie. She was Irma In Fury 2014 in which she portrayed an German named aunt to Emma.
