Jill Hennessy
Her heritage is mixed, including Irish and Italians as well as Swedish, Frenchs, and Ukrainians. Her twin sister, Jacqueline is also an actress. Jill could speak several languages throughout her childhood. They include Italian, French, and Spanish. She began her journey into the world of acting when she was twelve. When she was in Toronto she started acting professionally as an actress in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers. She played an escort in the show with one of the sisters. Then she studied improv comedy with Second City under Deb Kimmet. The actress relocated back to New York two years later after which she signed a deal to portray Detective Assistant Claire Kincaid in the hit longest-running drama Law & Order. The actress also appeared in films such as RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) during her three-year run. Through the following years, she landed roles in some forgettable movies. Then, in 1999 she got a role as the lead in the mini-series uremberg together with Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York, Exit Wounds and other major series were set to be released. In 2001, she was offered her first lead role on the crime show on NBC Crossing Jordan and in 2007 she took home a Gracie Allen award as "Outstanding Female lead in the Drama Series" in recognition of her performance in the series. In 2000 she married the actor who played her Paolo Mastropietro. They have two children. In 2007, she was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame in 2007.
