Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morissette, who is a native of Canada was born on the 1st of June 1974, in Ottawa. Alanis can be described as the female name of Alan the name of her father's initial name. Her mother's name is Georgia and she has two brothers, Chad as well as Wade (Alanis"Twin"). When she was just 6 she started learning to play piano. After that, she was 21 and her first guitar lesson, she was a musician. Alanis released a single in 1986 named Fate Stay With Me (b side: Find The Right Man). She released two albums as a dance-pop artist throughout Canada: Alanis (1991) and the album Now Is The Time (1992). She relocated to Toronto at the age of 18 and began working with writers and musicians, however this collaboration didn't go as planned. Glen Ballard was the producer/songwriter she chose in 1994. Glen previously had worked alongside Aretha Frankin, Michael Jackson and Barbra Strreisand. After moving to LA, she turned 19. Madonna's Maverick Records released the song "Jagged Little Pill" the 13th of June 15th, 1995. Alanis was able to find an autobiographical, extremely personal method of writing songs. JLP is the 3rd most-sold album in history and was sold over more than 30 million times around globe. The album was a struggle for her emotionally (when she even contemplated not recording another album) as well as a visit to India
